Katie James signed for the club ahead of the 2021/22 season, following the side's promotion to the National League.
She arrived from Portsmouth, where she was the club's longest-serving player, having joined back in August 2013 as an 18 year old.
Her first team debut for Pompey came against Coventry City in 2014, before notching 24 goals in 95 appearances and winning countless Hampshire Cups with the fellow south coast outfit.
The central midfielder has also represented her country at Beach Soccer, winning the European Championships with England in 2021 and picking up a runners up medal with Team GB at the World Beach Games in Doha two years prior.
James’ maiden season with the Cherries saw her score on her debut in a 1-1 draw against Swindon Town, before she went on to net 12 goals in 23 National League appearances in 2021/22.
The following year again brought plenty of success, as she finished 2022/23 on three goals in 21 appearances and with another Hampshire Cup to her name.
For Mental Health Awareness Week in May 2022, she openly spoke with afcbTV about her struggles growing up and the importance of talking to one another.
